Plane hits powerlines in Fairview, OR

Security video shows the moment a small plane hit powerlines, blacking out electricity to about 20,000, before it crashed and killed three people on Saturday.

This morning, an investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board, along with local authorities, gave an update on the crash in Fairview.

Air Safety Investigator Michael Hicks with the NTSB said the Cessna 421C took off at 10:25 a.m. on a maintenance test flight. Soon after the pilot reported “controllability issues.” Seconds later, a nearby helicopter pilot reported that the plane had crashed. Watch the full story at the link in our bio.
