Family confirms death of Israeli-American hostage with Chicago ties

President Joe Biden confirmed late Saturday night that the bodies of six Israeli hostages, seized by Hamas militants more than 10 months ago, were recovered in a tunnel under the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip. Among those was an Israeli-American hostage who has ties to the Chicago area. Family members of 23-year-old Hersh Goldberg-Polin say he has been killed in the Gaza Strip and issued a statement early Sunday, hours after the Israeli army said it had located bodies in Gaza.
