Your Voice, Your Vote: State Senator Dick Anderson proposes ‘No Tax on Tips’ in Oregon

It’s not often presidential candidates from opposing parties agree on something. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris announced, at separate times, their support for the elimination of taxes on workers’ tips.

There are questions about how that would work and concerns about how much it would cost the federal government, and whether Congress would even agree to the change.

This past week, we learned that an Oregon state lawmaker representing Lincoln City is proposing a bill for the 2025 legislative session called ‘No Tax On Tips.’
