Fawn-tastic Rescue: Baby deer rescued from Lake Oswego home after it became trapped in a window well

On Tuesday, the Lake Oswego Fire Department was called to rescue a baby deer.

“The deer was stuck in a window well two stories down,” the agency said on X (formerly Twitter). Firefighters went through the basement of a house under construction to get to the deer.

Firefighter Grimes carried the deer up a flight of stairs and then outside.

“We are confident that mom was watching the rescue unfold and assume that she will have a chat with her baby when they reunite,” Lake Oswego Fire said.

Officials say the baby deer seemed to be in good condition and ran away from the rescuers.
