Portland Police helicopter video of nighttime chase of Camaro during street takeover event

The following is footage from the Portland Police Bureau’s air support team as officers pursued a Chevy Camaro during a street takeover event on the weekend of Aug. 3, 2024. The video shows the car doing burnouts in the middle of an intersection.

Then the video goes to night vision as the air unit pursues the driver. The Camaro is eventually stopped using spike strips. The driver jumps out and tries to hide in someone’s backyard, but the air unit is following him the whole time until officers and a K-9 arrest him.
