‘You’ll die’: Cook County Jail cracks down on drug-soaked papers, but new substances enhance risk

Sneaking deadly synthetic drugs laced in paper into the Cook County Jail is nothing new, but now, on top of amping up efforts to stop the contraband from making it into the jail, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office is taking steps to prevent overdose deaths as well.
