Protecting the electrical grid from EMP attacks, solar storms by mapping

OSU professor Adam Schultz joins FOX 12 NOW to talk about a nearly 20-year effort led by OSU to help protect the U.S. electrical grid which is now complete.

The project mapped the electrical properties of Earth’s crust and mantle across the contiguous U.S., which they say is critical to protect the electrical grid during extreme solar storms and against damage by weapons that use electromagnetic pulses.
