Behind The Scenes: A look at the new PDX Terminal from KATU News

On Tuesday, KATU News got to see inside Portland airport’s new main terminal, ahead of it’s grand opening tomorrow.

Travelers will finally be able to see all of the work completed over the past several years.

Some of the improvements include new airline check-in areas, a streamlined security process, a dozen new shops and restaurants, and new flooring, including the return of the iconic PDX carpet.

The state of Oregon inspires the new design and features a timber ceiling.

All wood for the project was sourced within 300 miles of the airport.
