Multnomah County Commissioner Meieran wants to pause deflection center opening

Multnomah County CommissionerSharon Meieran wants to delay the opening of the county’s deflection center in Northeast Portland because of a lack of a "comprehensive safety plan."

On Monday, she requested a resolution be added to a meeting agenda of the Board of County Commissioners. The resolution calls for the opening to be "paused."
