Preschool near planned drug deflection center threatens to sue Multnomah County

A preschool located just a block away from where Multnomah County plans to drop off people caught with drugs is threatening a lawsuit if the county doesn’t reverse course.

A letter sent by a lawyer for Escuela Viva to the leadership team in charge of setting up Multnomah County’s drug deflection center in Southeast Portland asks the county to pause opening the center or the school will "pursue all appropriate measures to prevent the opening of the Deflection Center."
