Crews make good progress in protecting homes from Lee Falls Fire near Hagg Lake

Fire crews made significant progress Friday toward containing the Lee Falls Fire burning near Hagg Lake in Washington County, and a Level 3 evacuation level was lowered to Level 2 for residents in the small community of Cherry Grove.

But Summit Road and Lee Falls Road, west of the city, were still under Level 3 (Go Now) evacuation orders as of Friday evening.
