Portland man charged with federal child sex abuse crimes against girl, 7, and teen sister

A Portland man has been charged with multiple federal sex crimes after police said he tried to pay a mother for nude images of her child, with further investigation revealing he had been exploiting a 7-year-old girl and her teenage sister.

Lyle S. Gage Jr., 55, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 5, on counts of sexual exploitation of children, receipt of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and coercion and enticement of a minor.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, in March 2024, a concerned citizen reported that she had been contacted via social media by a man offering to pay her for nude photos of her child.
