Thinning smoke Friday, cooler temps into weekend

Holden LeCroy: Thinning smoke Friday, cooler temps into weekend. Series of dry cold fronts will lower temps, improve AQ for most into next week due to onshore flow with coolest day being Monday in the 70s. Pattern is starting to shift as we reach the end of summer, but the heat will still hang on tight for the next couple of days with thick wildfire smoke across Douglas and Klamath Counties. No rain chances at all, but possibility of a stray thunderstorm in the Cascades on Friday and patchy mist for the coast through Saturday morning. Significant cool down is near, but not going to be tomorrow. Cooling temperatures in the Arctic are expanding south and more cold fronts for us is soon.
